“This update will include new options for graphics and performance settings , as well as new adjustments and improvements,” reads Bethesda’s message, which is extremely vague but also decidedly promising.
Updates and improvements coming soon
There will likely be some technical improvements, possibly focusing on graphic quality and performance, as reported. It may also involve addressing certain discrepancies detected between the various versions following the “next gen” update, particularly with the Xbox version, which appears not to reflect the expected changes between quality and performance modes.
Various analyses, including one conducted by Digital Foundry, were conducted on the issue, but Bethesda reported that it was not a bug.At this point we will see if this patch will bring changes on that front, which is likely at this point.
This could also mean further adaptation work for mods, as they always have to readjust after updates to the original code, but we’re waiting to see the extent of this update. Meanwhile, Fallout 4 was the best-selling game in April in the United Kingdom, to illustrate the notable revival for the franchise following the launch of the TV series.
