Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, fans speculate on size using number of songs
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree fans want to know how big the expansion is and without official confirmation they are now using the number of songs to make calculations.
One of the questions Elden Ring fans have been asking for a few months is how big Shadow of the Erdtree will be . Miyazaki explained that he didn’t want to give a precise number of hours, because we wouldn’t believe him , referring to the fact that he had indicated a very low number of hours for the base game. However, fans do not give up and are looking for clues; now maybe they’ve found one: the number of new music in the game .
In fact, we know that those who purchase the Deluxe or Premium edition will be able to access an original soundtrack of “over 30 songs” . This detail is important because in the base game there are 67 songs linked to bosses and specific areas.
The presence of 30 new tracks would therefore give an idea of the size of Shadow of the Erdtree . These numbers suggest that we can expect about half of what the base game offers, but obviously the calculation is not that simple, also because some songs from the base game could be reused.

A calculation for the number of bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree
30 songs in the OST… 15 to 20 new bosses at least? Between first phase, 2nd phase, variations like ER songs vs Radagon song…? damn, by today standards the DLC should be a 70 bucks game probably https://t.co/u4c0HtyhuV

Wanting to be even more granular, data miner Sekiro Dubi – specialized in souslikes and works by FromSoftware – tried to speculate on the number of bosses that could be present in Shadow of the Erdtree, speaking of around 15 – 20 new bosses . In fact, let’s consider that some bosses could have multiple phases and therefore use multiple songs. It’s difficult to make a precise count.
In general, however, the impression is that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is a massive game and Sekiro Dubi underlines how a product like this would probably be sold at full price and not for “just” €50.
