Elden Ring returns to Steam with the launch of Shadow of the Erdtree : FromSoftware’s action RPG is once again the protagonist in the ranking of the most played on the Valve platform, reaching third position.
Specifically, the title has totaled almost 600,000 peak contemporary players in the last twenty-four hours: a number that is close to the all-time high recorded by Elden Ring on Steam, equal to 953,426 users at the time of its debut.
What relaunched the popularity of the soulslike was obviously the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which is available starting today and introduces a new setting, full of even more formidable enemies and an enormous amount of content.
A prodigious recovery
As you can see in the image below, the numbers of Elden Ring on Steam have multiplied in conjunction with the arrival of Shadow of the Erdtree: the expansion was highly anticipated and many took advantage of its release to return to the game.
