Fans are unhappy – Dragon’s Dogma 2 will only have one save slot

A new preview of Dragon’s Dogma 2 has confirmed that, like the original, the sequel will only have one save slot. Autosaves will overwrite the slot, so you won’t be able to make a backup for alternative strategies.

This was reported by IGN Japan , and gamers are not very happy with this decision of the developers. This feature was criticized even in the original part and fans hoped that the studio would take the feedback into account and not repeat this unpopular mechanic.

In addition, this approach means that returning to an earlier save before a difficult boss will not work – it may already be overwritten by the autosave. So trying different approaches for contractions over and over again can be problematic.

While the overall hype for the sequel is huge, this particular decision by the developers has caused a lot of disappointment in the community. However, let’s hope that at least on PC modders will provide their solution to the flaw soon after release. But on consoles you’ll have to live with what you have.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on March 22, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
