Dragon's Dogma 2 performance issues may be caused by too much draw distance

udging by some recent discoveries by modders, Dragon’s Dogma 2’s performance issues may be caused by a design decision.

As reported on the ResetERA forum , the original game uses an absurdly large range of LoD (level of detail) and everything except grass and debris is loaded at maximum detail, which makes absolutely no sense given the sheer size of the space. However, unless the game has low detail assets, it is unlikely that performance will improve significantly in future patches.

It remains to be seen whether mods will be able to solve this problem in the future, but if so, this will be another case where modders will be able to improve Dragon’s Dogma 2.

In addition to the additional gameplay and visual options already added, modified professions are also in development, including the Mystic Knight from the first part of the series.
