Capcom raised its profit expectations for the year thanks to sales of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Street Fighter 6, but also past titles.
The sales of Dragon’s Dogma 2 certify the great success achieved by the game already in this first period after launch, perhaps even above Capcom’s expectations, considering that the company has decided to increase its profit estimates for the fiscal year compared to to what was previously foreseen.
In a statement published today, Capcom reported its intention to increase its net sales estimates by 8.9% compared to what was previously communicated, therefore reaching 152 million yen and also increasing net revenues by 8.3 %.
The reasons behind this sharp increase in profit forecasts for the fiscal year are precisely the sales of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and also Street Fighter 6 , with both titles driving Capcom’s finances in a notable way.
Street Fighter 6 is also doing well
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been ” received with enthusiasm globally”, Capcom reported, while Street Fighter 6 is having “favorable performance” on the sales front, although there are no more precise communications at the moment.
It is not just these two titles, however: “sales have also grown with regard to the past catalog of the major series , which continue to enjoy stable popularity”, added the publisher, and all these elements have contributed to increasing sales forecasts for the current year.
No updated sales figures were provided, so we’re left with the fact that Dragon’s Dogma 2 sold 2.5 million copies in less than two weeks , while Street Fighter 6 reached 3 million copies sold last January.
