From the official account dedicated to Dragon Ball games comes a new gameplay video of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero which reveals the presence of another of the characters in the cast, very particular.
Considering the huge amount of characters it seems destined to contain, it’s no surprise that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero also has Great Saiyaman in the cast of playable fighters , a particular “super hero” played by Son Gohan in the series in perfect Super Sentai style, as confirmed by the new gameplay video published.
In this case, instead of publishing a trailer in the traditional way, Bandai Namco opted for a short video contained in a post on X by the official account of the Dragon Ball games, but the substance does not change: Great Saiyaman will be one of the many selectable fighters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
Although considered a little marginal, he is a classic character in all respects, therefore his appearance in an action game that aims to represent the sum of Dragon Ball could not be missed.
A particular Super Sentai style character
The post also reminds us that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be released on October 11th and the character in question will be available in the roster. In the video we see Great Saiyaman fighting against Frieza and also activating a special ability which, with Videl’s support, allows him to inflict considerable damage on the opponent.

Great Saiyaman is a sort of alter ego of Son Gohan : he appears during the Majin Buu saga and represents a way for Goku’s now almost adult son to use his skills to fight crime while keeping his identity secret.
The character who is thus divided between his student life and his “super-hero” activities is equipped with a bizarre costume created by Bulma and complete with poses that recall the tradition of Japanese Super Sentai.
