Destructibility and Unreal Engine 5 are the plans of the creators of PUBG for 2024

Krafton has published a roadmap for the development of the free-to-play battle royale PUBG: Battlegrounds for 2024. The creators of the game want to rework some of the game mechanics and take the game service to a new level.

  • PUBG : Battlegrounds will add a destructible environment – you can break both buildings and dig the ground to create trenches; the first elements of mechanics will appear with the April patch
  • Meta updates every two months to encourage players to use different weapons
  • Various collaborations and crossovers with popular franchises
  • Additional matchmaking improvements for more balanced rounds
  • There will be no test server for PUBG: Battlegrounds this year
  • Transition to Unreal Engine 5 and implementation of user-generated content (UGC)
  • Anti-cheat improvements and introduction of machine learning for faster detection

PUBG: Battlegrounds is available on PC and consoles of both generations.
