DARKEST DUNGEON 2 HAS APPEARED ON THE PLAYSTATION STORE: THE GAME HAS A LAUNCH DATE With the review of the brutal, damned and fascinating roguelite Darkest Dungeon 2 behind us, which arrived here on Everyeye in May 2023, the videogame adventure by Red Hook Studios returns after having disappeared from the media radar for a long time. The journey aboard the Stagecoach to repel the apocalypse has ended, but there is some news.
We’ve wondered several times what happened to the console versions of Darkest Dungeon 2 , but something has changed in the last few hours. In a completely unexpected way, Darkest Dungeon 2 has appeared on the PlayStation Store , with lots of good news for fans of the first video game adventure: finally, after a very long wait, the publication date of the title on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is known.
Almost a year after the marketing of the PC counterpart, the version of the Red Hook title designed for the consoles of the Sony ecosystem has appeared out of nowhere; Darkest Dungeon 2 will be released on PS4 and PS5 on July 15, 2024. There are just under three months left until it arrives on Sony’s “new” flagship and on old-gen, but what about the home platforms of the Redmond house? Unlike the PlayStation Store, there are no references to the existence of Darkest Dungeon 2 on the Xbox website . It is not yet known if this is an error or if this production is not planned for Series X|S and Xbox One. However, at least for now, we just have to wait for confirmation from Red Hook Studios.
