Cyberpunk 2077 has an Easter egg in the ocean: the quest designer explains why he put it there

One of Cyberpunk 2077’s Easter eggs is found in the ocean: the quest designer explained why she decided to put it in just that kind of place. Let’s read her words.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game full of Easter eggs, that is, little surprises that fans can find if they try to look for every detail. One of them – added as part of Phantom Liberty – has already been found by enthusiasts and is found in the ocean . It seems like a bit of a strange place for an Easter egg , but quest designer Maria Mazur of CD Projekt RED was certain that someone would look there too.

Speaking to GamesRadar+ during the Digital Dragons conference in Poland, Mazur explained that he created a scenario with lots of dialogue so that those who were most diligent in their search for the Easter egg would not be disappointed.

Mazur’s words on Easter eggs

“I think those moments are precious. When you try to anticipate someone’s actions, and you leave a little surprise for someone, and then finally, years later, you can see that they actually found it,” Mazur said.

“Someone dipped the main character in the ocean. So I put something in there just in case that happened,” Mazur said, “I put in a scenario with dialogue and stuff. So I was happy to see that someone actually did it.”

Unfortunately the designer does not specify which Easter egg it is , but only that someone found it. Through our online research we were unable to find out exactly what the Easter egg in question is, given that many details are missing.

Tell us, have you found it? Or will you now go around the underwater areas of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City in search of it?
