The developer of Cyberpunk 2077 said that there are still many Easter eggs hidden in Night City, and in his opinion, players have not found everything that is hidden in The Witcher 3.
In an interview with GamesRadar+ at the Digital Dragons conference, Phantom Liberty quest designer Maria Mazur noted:
I feel like there are so many easter eggs hidden in Cyberpunk 2077 and I’m still waiting for people to find them all.
One of the more recent discoveries came when Mazur noticed that someone had discovered a hidden phrase in one of the sequences she had developed for the addition.
Someone drowned the main character in the ocean. And I foresaw such a scenario with dialogue and everything. So I was glad to see that someone did it.
I believe moments like these are valuable. When you try to predict the players’ actions and leave a little surprise for them, and then, years later, you see that they found it.
Mazur also believes that there are still many such Easter eggs in CD Projekt RED games that are waiting in the wings. When asked if there were any Easter eggs left unsolved, Mazur replied that there was still a lot to be found in Night City, adding that she herself had many references and Easter eggs that no one had noticed. Considering the number of designers who worked on the game, one can only wonder how many more subtle secrets remain undiscovered.
Although Mazur only worked on Cyberpunk 2077, she noted that there are likely many undiscovered Easter eggs in The Witcher 3. However, this is not her area of expertise, as she is currently working on CDPR’s new project, Project Hadar.
