Cities Skylines 2: Performance has improved according to an official user survey

Cities Skylines 2 released with a lot of performance issues at launch, as you probably remember. After the enormous success of the first chapter, Colossal Order raised the bar with the second but when it came time to deliver a new title to players it missed the target, then slowly began to improve what was proposed. The situation is certainly not yet under control, but according to the players things have partially improved .

The information comes from a survey held by developers via Twitter , where they were asked if Cities Skylines 2’s performance has improved since the most recent update. As you can see below, when user ratings closed, 38% of users said things were positive.

Obviously it doesn’t mean that these 38% of players who responded think that everything is perfectly fine, but that at least things have improved. Furthermore, 28.7% continue to consider the performance unstable, with 33.3% not particularly happy.

This wouldn’t be positive results for many games, but where Cities Skylines 2 stands is an indicator that some progress has been made .

Cities Skylines 2’s latest patch brings a huge amount of changes to the game, with more than 30 bug fixes, improvements to the official Paradox modding platform and editing tools, as well as gameplay overhauls that increase the speed of the mouse and redesigns of some components.

The latest issues in Cities Skylines 2

Cities Skylines 2, as mentioned, has exhibited various problems since launch, but things have gotten worse over the months. The console versions were delayed several times and the team released a DLC – Beach Properties – which became the lowest rated product ever on Steam. The reaction was so negative that the team decided to refund players and make the content free – it was added in the latest patch.

The positive news was the arrival of mod support in March , which has now been improved with the update. Let’s hope that the next few months are more positive for the game and that it manages to “resurrect”.
