Changing hands and returning Dust 2 to the map pool – a major Counter-Strike 2 patch

Valve has released a major update for Counter-Strike 2 that brings balance changes and also adds the ability to change hands during a match. The update is already available, and the full list of changes can be found here .

Main:

  • During a match, you can change your hand when shooting – by default, the H key is responsible for this (English layout)
  • The Overpass map was removed from the map pool and was replaced by Dust 2
  • You can now play practice matches and maps from the Steam Workshop in a lobby with friends
  • Valve has added an Overwatch option (“Patrol”) – the ability to view demo recordings of matches to check for cheating and more
  • Balance changes: killing with Zeus now rewards $100 (previously $0), with CZ75 – $300 ($100), with XM1014 – $600 ($900)
  • For grenades you can now place a unique sight on the entire screen
  • During purchasing, you can now pick up dropped weapons through the purchasing menu – provided that a teammate or you dropped the weapon in the purchasing area
  • Added a minimum amount of money that a player is guaranteed to receive in the next round to the title bar of the purchase menu
  • 75% discount on major stickers in Copenhagen

Counter-Strike 2 is available for free on PC.
