Rumors that the Black Myth: Wukong development studio refused to pay SweetBaby Inc. $7 million have proven to be false.
Yesterday a rumor circulated, supported by artfully created sources, according to which the Chinese media reported that Game Science, the development studio of Black Myth: Wukong, had rejected what was defined as a real “extortion” of 7 million dollars from the consultancy firm Sweet Baby Inc. and for this reason it would have been the subject of sexist attacks and insults since the launch of the first promotional video of the game.
The rumors turned out to be fabricated, as reported by analyst Daniel Ahmad, of Chinese origin, according to whom the local press never covered the topic and Game Science never reported extortion attempts by Sweet Baby Inc.
Sweet Baby Inc. is a Canadian company that offers consultancy services on various aspects of video games (story, narrative, characters, inclusiveness and representation of minorities), also doing so-called sensitivity reading, i.e. the analysis of content in search of potential offenses for minorities.
Basically, the rumor would have been artfully created by a US nationalist, in cahoots with Chinese nationalists, to discredit the consultancy company, the object of attacks from many ultra-conservative fringes because it is considered a symbol of the so-called woke culture.
There is politically correct and politically correct
As we had underlined, the sources did not report the communications between Game Science and SweetBaby Inc. , therefore they did not explain how the reported blackmail, which turned out to be false, would have taken place.
Black Myth: Wukong – Pre-Order Trailer
Not even the threats received were disclosed . The only one that had been reported, which wasn’t a threat, was a negative response to Hideo Kojima , not even particularly heated, who commented positively on the game.
That post going around about Black Myth Wukong obviously isn't true. The source is a random social media post, not the company or a media outlet.

In the face of false news, it remains true that in reality Black Myth: Wukong in China is a very politically correct game , given that it follows the government’s directives to the letter, which has forced the entertainment industry to propose more masculine and virile figures in the media , avoiding those that are ambiguous or too effeminate. It therefore seems that the political correctness of a communist dictatorship is very strong among certain extremist fringes of the capitalist West. Furthermore, in light of what has emerged, it seems that certain heroes of freedom consider it correct to produce false news to discredit their alleged adversaries.
