BALDUR’S GATE 3: DISAPPOINTING NEWS FROM LARIAN REGARDING THE PHYSICAL DELUXE EDITION FOR PS5
Larian Studios intervened via its social channels to confirm that the arrival of the retail version of Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition will be delayed , apparently limited to the North American market.
What the studio declared through a long apology post published on X|Twitter, confirms that the boxed version of the acclaimed RPG will arrive a few weeks late in North America, while European players will receive the game within the established deadlines .
“We have disappointing news to share with you. While we were very hopeful that we wouldn’t have to update owners of the physical Deluxe Edition for consoles with further news of delays, we have now run into new production issues . ” North American users will therefore have to ” wait until July before they can get their hands on it “ . Larian said the schedule change was due to “manufacturing changes outside of our control. We expect all PS5 copies in North America to be ready in approximately 14 days, followed by another 10 days to begin shipping directly to the players” .
The studio is as disappointed as the players by the news: “We can only deeply apologize that your pre-orders have once again been delayed. By committing to creating physical editions, we hoped to preserve the almost nostalgic feeling of unboxing your new game , and this is a commitment we hope to carry with us into the future, this time ensuring we continue to work closely with our partners . “
Larian recently revealed that creating Baldur’s Gate 3 was almost impossible , so high were the Belgian team’s ambitions.
