Baldur’s Gate 3 managed to establish itself in a difficult market like that of AAA and to bring back to the attention of the general public a genre that Larian and Obsidian themselves, with Divinity Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity respectively, had tried to revive, quickly establishing itself as one of the best CRPGs ever.
The care taken to build a convincing world, with engaging interactions and dialogue , and with combat structured around the rules system of the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons have proven to be just some of the winning elements of the latest production from Larian Studios, and today, almost a year after the title’s actual release on PC, Baldur’s Gate 3 remains more popular than many games released in 2024 .
And the Belgian software house continues to release major updates – such as the long-awaited patch 7 in September 2024, which will also bring changes to split-screen co-op and an official mod toolkit – while the community continues to demonstrate its passion, even by playing as some of the series’ most iconic characters.
As you can see in the post at the bottom of the page, a fan of all Baldur’s Gate has decided to dedicate a cosplay to Minsc , voiced by Matthew Mercer, Dungeon Master of the Critical Role group from which the successful Amazon Prime Video series The Legend of Vox Machina was born . The ranger Minsc is one of the historical companions of the series, having appeared in the previous chapters, and in the third it is possible to meet him only in the third act, precisely in the House of Accountants , and then you can add him to the party thanks to Jaheira’s this, if you managed to make her survive the events of Act 2.
The cosplay appears well done, and the touch of class is in the little Boo doll , the inseparable hamster that constantly follows Minsc in his adventures.
