A new mod for Fallout 4 adds a location inspired by the real-life Boone Island
Enthusiastic modders Tenhats and Shreddah4 have released an add-on for Fallout 4, expanding the game world with a new location. It is based on the real-life Boone Island and includes a fully voiced quest that fits harmoniously into the game’s lore.
The Boon Island mod invites players to explore a small but detailed area with a functional settlement. On the island you can also find three minor locations and many interesting places under water. Players will also have the opportunity to restore destroyed buildings in the settlement.
To create a new section of the map, the mod developers used unique textures, models, and a specially designed Pip-Boy map. The main quest of the add-on fits organically into the plot of the game, and there are additional tasks for those interested. It is noteworthy that the developers have added new animation for the quest icon and music from previous Fallout parts.
The weather on Boone Island changes, combining elements from the Far Harbor expansion and the main game. The creators of the mod paid attention to the balance of loot, evenly distributing things throughout the location.
