Helldivers 2 has gotten worse for fans since launch and now Arrowhead Game Studios is promising new things
Helldivers 2 has been steadily declining in performance since launch, according to fans. Now, Arrowhead Game Studios is promising to address that with an update coming soon.
Helldivers 2 will soon receive another patch, and according to Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Shams Jorjani, performance issues on PC will be fixed or at least limited by this update .
A recent Reddit thread has long shed light on these issues . Fans claim that since the “first patch,” PC performance has “degraded, never quite returning to launch levels.”
“The game never worked well to begin with,” reads one comment. “Since it was released, it has performed terribly compared to other similar, prettier, and more crowded games.” Another says, “I think the developers could really do something about this.”
Arrowhead Game Studios’ Response
In a post on Twitter, studio CEO Shams Jorjani revealed that ” performance will be a big focus ” for the Helldivers 2 developers. Following a fan comment about “constant crashes,” Jorjani clarified that an update to address performance issues on PC is “coming this week, apparently!”

The CEO explains that, while hoping that the patch “will do its job”, the team ” will continue to work regardless ” of the results obtained, to improve the game.
Responding to another player asking for news from Arrowhead Game Studios about upcoming content , Jorjani says that the Helldivers 2 developers are currently “discussing what to share and when” but makes “no promises” about planned content at this time.
Let’s also remember that Helldivers 2 has lost more than 90% of the players it had at launch on Steam, in a slow but steady decline .
