MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN: THE FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDEY IN AN OUTSTANDING COSPLAY
The month of June brought many players back to flying among the skyscrapers of New York thanks to the new update of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in which free costumes were also made available for Miles Morale and Peter Parker. And the friendly web weaver originally from Queens was honored with an excellent cosplay.
There are very few superheroes who have managed to achieve such popularity as Spider-Man, who arrived on the pages of Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962 – sold at auction for over 3 million dollars – and then returned in the first issue of the now historic title The Amazing Spider-Man, and even less to receive such a vast amount of video games.
To date, starting from the first one released for Atari 2600 in 1982, there are around forty video games dedicated to Spider-Man, not to mention all the other titles in which he appeared as part of the Marvel universe, such as Marvel vs. Capcom , and the various editions for different consoles of the same title. Among these, however, the three experiences developed by Insomniac, Marvel’s Spider-Man from 2018 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from 2023 , and the short but still satisfying adventure of Miles Morales in 2020 – among the launch titles of the PlayStation 5 – received a universal acclaim, building an excellent video game formula to transpose the superhero’s adventures , guaranteeing fun and action.
To pay homage to the productions, the passionate Jay dedicated a good cosplay to Spider-Man , which you can see in the image at the bottom of the page. The costume worn is the original and unpublished one present in the 2018 title, also repeated in the sequel, with a large white spider at chest height which stands out quite a bit from the usual combination of red and blue.
