Dragon’s Dogma 2 is updated on PC and consoles via a new patch, which improves performance and adds new graphics options on PS5 and Xbox Series
Overnight, Capcom published a new update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 , patch 1,200 , which finally brings with it improvements to performance on PC, in particular regarding the CPU, and new graphics options for PS5 and Xbox Series , including the ability to activate 120 Hz mode.
According to the official update notes, in fact, ” problems that led to CPU overload in certain situations have been resolved ” for all versions and consequently “this should improve the frame rate in areas with many characters such as the city center .” As you probably know, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a real processor brick, which caused numerous performance issues at launch, even for PC players with recent, beefy CPUs. Capcom also promises further framerate improvements in future updates.
Graphics settings for consoles and 120 Hz mode
If what was said previously applies to all platforms, going more specifically into the context of the PS5 and Xbox Series Consequently, if performance has already improved thanks to the optimizations introduced by the patch, these options should bring further benefits by “changing the graphics quality to “Low”.

Additionally, a setting has been added to enable or disable 120Hz video output on consoles. This clearly doesn’t guarantee 120fps, but Capcom says it should smooth out the on-screen action despite framerate fluctuations.
For the rest, the update also includes a series of changes to the management of the depot, makes it easier to find the carts along the roads that connect the cities, resolves various more and less well-known problems and more.
