The Fortnite crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean has been confirmed by Epic Games here’s when it will start
Epic Games was practically forced to confirm the start date of the crossover between Fortnite and the Pirates of the Caribbean due to an error in the in-game store.
Epic Games was forced to indirectly confirm that Fortnite Battaglia Reale will soon welcome Jack Sparrow and other characters from Pirates of the Caribbean with a new crossover event, which will begin on July 19th .
But let’s go step by step. It all started over the weekend, when Hypex and other well-known leakers in the battle royale scene published the first details and images of the collaboration’s contents online, which include the costumes of Jack Sparrow, Devy Jones, Elizabeth Swann and a series of cosmetic items, including emotes, loading screens, pickaxes and more.
Not only that, the existence of the event was also practically confirmed when Epic Games carelessly put the “Cursed Sail” pass on sale ahead of time, with players who purchased it immediately unlocking the skin of the character played by Johnny Depp and previewed the entire contents of the pass in question.
A big mistake on Epic’s part
Precisely because of the early sale, the Fortnite support page on so indirectly that this is precisely the date of the beginning of the event.

The official explanation from the Fortnite Status Twitter account says, “For players who purchased the Cursed Sails Pass ahead of its intended release on July 19, please note you are currently unable to progress the Pass until the start of the event, but will retain your Jack Sparrow outfit in the meantime.” So, if you bought the Cursed Sails Pass, you’ll need to wait until next month before you can earn everything. If you missed the window to pick up the pass early, you’ll have to wait until the 19th before it becomes available again.
