Economy 2.0 patch for Cities: Skylines 2 will be released on June 24
On June 19, Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announced a sudden delay of a patch for Cities: Skylines II , designed to significantly rework the in-game economy. The patch was delayed due to a number of fixes that were implemented at the last moment.
The creators of the urban planning simulator wrote that the update has been certified and will be released on Monday, June 24 at 11:00 Moscow time.

The essence of the patch, according to the creators, is to increase the importance of managing the economy, increase the overall complexity and make it more clear to the player how the economy depends on his decisions.
In addition, the upcoming update of Cities: Skylines II will make improvements in the part regarding buildings. Players will be able to more freely place building upgrades around core structures, as well as remove and move certain upgrades.
- Government subsidies have been removed to make the economy more complex but still transparent
- Transferring city services from external sources now has a switch and a fee for this action
- Costs for maintaining city services increased
- Demand calculations have been improved
- New calculations for household rents and expenses allow citizens to live in low-density areas

Cities: Skylines II is available on Steam. A console version is planned for release in October.
