A leaker suggests he doesn’t have high expectations for today’s Nintendo Direct

Will today’s Nintendo Direct include many surprise announcements for the big N’s first parties? In reality, according to a leaker, this will not be the case: it is better not to have high expectations.

Today, June 18, the Nintendo Direct will air and players can’t wait to find out what will be announced. For the moment, Nintendo has only confirmed that it will focus on the games arriving in the second half of the year and that there will be no reference to Nintendo Switch 2.

So what can we expect? A well-known leaker – Pyoro – now says that we have to keep expectations low because there won’t be room for many first party games. Considering that it is a 40 minute event (not long for a Direct) we can therefore assume that we will mostly see third party games.

Pyoro’s words on the Nintendo Direct

Pyoro started talking about the Nintendo Direct in response to some users who pressed him on the latest news. One user joked that the entire event will be dedicated to JRPGs and farming simulators , and Pyoro responded that, regarding RPGs, they could talk about Reynatis , citing both story DLC and a demo.

Then, he said that the event will not include many first party games , i.e. internal Nintendo products, but that he still expects some surprises. The idea, therefore, is that there will not be ten new Switch games released by the end of the year, as is perhaps natural given that the console should be towards the end of its life cycle, with the next hour expected for the March 2025 .

Obviously the public would like to have news for Metroid Prime 4 and maybe even some remasters/remakes of old The Legend of Zelda that have not yet arrived on Switch.
