Elden Ring played co-op from start to finish with mods? Miyazaki is not against it but the focus is different

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the boss of FromSoftware, is not against those who play Elden Ring entirely in co-op, even using popular mods such as “Seamless Co-op”, although the game is calibrated differently.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the boss of FromSoftware, is not against those who want to play Elden Ring in co-op with friends from start to finish, even taking advantage of mods such as the popular “Seamless Co-Op” , as far as the purpose of multiplayer it’s anything but, and is geared towards a more casual “drop-in, drop-out” experience .

“The fact that we want to go through the whole game together is certainly not something that we actively oppose or want to diminish,” Miyazaki said on the issue, in an interview with PC Gamer. “As for our plans with Elden Ring, it was simply about wanting a looser, more casual style: enter, defeat a boss, exit . It doesn’t place any technical restrictions on the player, but allows them to complete this objective and then go after you”.

Will FromSoftware’s next games have seamless co-op? Miyazaki doesn’t rule it out

From Demon’s Souls to today, FromSoftware has implemented a series of changes to make it easier to play multiplayer in its games, demonstrating how much the studio supports cooperation between players. Although for the moment the studio’s goal is not to create a full cooperative experience, according to Miyazaki’s words, a similar idea could be implemented in one of the studio’s next games.

“This doesn’t mean that we won’t consider other ways to play, such as playing the game together from start to finish, in total co-op. It doesn’t mean that we won’t consider ideas like this with our future games.”

In the meantime, we remind you that the launch of Shadow of the Erdtree is upon us. The long-awaited Elden Ring expansion will be available from June 21st , here are the details on unlock times and preloads . Just this morning FromSoftware published a message asking players to limit spoilers for the DLC .
