Elden Ring is doing very well on Steam right now: it has recovered a lot of players and is selling great again.

Elden Ring has returned to great numbers on Steam in recent days. FromSoftware’s title never really disappeared from the top levels of the most played rankings, but in recent months it had steadily dropped below 80,000 contemporary players and had appeared more rarely in the top 10. Now however, thanks to the Shadow of the Erdtree has started grinding out big numbers again , reaching peaks of contemporary players in excess of 130,000 units.

Growing

More precisely, at the time of writing this news it has 137,301 contemporary players and is in ninth position among the most played on Steam, positioned between Source SDK Base 2007 and Rust. Of course, we are not at Banana levels of hysteria and we are far from the maximum peak recorded by the game two years ago of 953,426 players, but it is still an excellent prerequisite for the success of its first and apparently only expansion , arriving on June 20th.

Sales are also excellent, as far as we can understand: Elden Ring is currently third in the global Steam ranking , immediately above Black Myth: Wukong and below Counter-Strike 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Therefore it is the first among the titles sold at a premium price (it costs €59.99). Considering that there are no current offers regarding it, it is an excellent result. Shadow of the Erdtree, however, is in sixth position. Also in this case there are no offers, but the starting price is different, given that we are talking about €39.99. So the number of copies sold could be similar or higher (Steam charts consider revenue).
