Don’t miss these three games
Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail from July 2nd on PlayStation, Xbox and PC
Ok, we’re not talking about a real game, but the launches of the new expansions of Final Fantasy 14 always represent an event and Dawntrail will certainly be no exception.
Dawntrail is full of new content, including dungeons, areas to explore and bosses to face. The story will take you to tropical-inspired and markedly carefree places, putting two brand new classes at your disposal: the Viper (a melee DPS) and the Pictomancer (a magical DPS). We talked about the new classes and all the other new features of the expansion in our recent preview of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail . While waiting for the release you can also try the official benchmark on PC .
Flintlock: Siege of Dawn from July 18th on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass
July is also the month of Flintlock: Siege of Dawn, the promising souls-lite from the Ashen authors that we have been following with keen interest for quite some time. As Nor Vanek, an elite soldier in the Coalition army, you are called upon to undertake a mission of vengeance against the gods.
Flintlock takes elements of the souls-lite genre and enriches them with very fast movement abilities to create rhythmic combat that intertwines melee strikes, gunpowder and magic . Flanked by the fox Enki, the protagonist is also capable of exploiting the verticality of the environments, both in exploration and in combat. We talked about it in our preview of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn . It will be available in the Game Pass catalog from day one.
Frostpunk 2 from July 25th on PC Steam and PC Game Pass
The sequel to one of the most popular survival management games of the last decade is about to arrive with the promise of even greater quality and many interesting new features. Frostpunk 2 takes you back to the frozen wastes thirty years after the Great Blizzard to face a new threat to the future of the City: human nature
The earth is still covered in ice and the climate remains freezing, but now the dangers also come from within. As the highest authority of the metropolis you are called to build the City on an even greater scale , make important decisions and deal with the consequences. As the size increases, it also becomes more complicated to pass new laws, as factions develop with different and often opposing visions of the future: will you be up to the challenge? You’ll find it in the PC Game Pass catalog immediately on day one.
