Assassin's Creed Infinity has a new name revealed by Ubisoft during an interview and quite apt

It seems that Assassin’s Creed Infinity now has a new name, revealed by Ubisoft during an interview and awaiting official confirmation: the choice is also particularly apt.

It seems that Assassin’s Creed Infinity , the platform intended to join together the various chapters of the long saga, now has another name , which was revealed by Marc-Alexis Cote of Ubisoft during an interview published by Game File and which turns out to be rather apt .

It would be called Animus Hub, or simply ” Animus “, with a choice that would definitely make sense, considering the reference series. Animus is in fact the Abstergo technology at the basis of “time travel” which allows, in the Assassin’s Creed series, to retrace the deeds of past assassins through a neural connection with a new subject.

Considering that Assassin’s Creed Infinity should be a hub connecting the various chapters of the series, or rather a sort of place from which we can access the different eras and the various stories of the protagonists, the conceptual connection with the Animus is clear and the choice of name would be really apt.

A connection hub with still mysterious contours

The Animus hub will launch with Assassin’s Creed Shadows , the first installment that will support the system, but will also allow links to previous and subsequent installments.

As reported by Marc-Alexis Cote, this system will act as a common thread for the various chapters of the series, uniting the various eras and characters in a certain continuity of experience.

However, there is still no specific information on its functioning, which for the moment still remains rather vague: it seems to be a sort of service, but it should still be integrated into the new chapters of the series.

Some time ago the possibility also emerged that it could also contain a monthly subscription and microtransactions , but there is no confirmation on the matter, with further details on the platform having emerged last February.
