Square Enix has announced a remake of Dragon Quest III HD for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The announcement of a remake of Dragon Quest III HD for current platforms was confirmed on the series’ official X account . Unfortunately, there are no additional details about the remake yet. Although the game was originally announced back in 2021 during a broadcast dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the franchise, then Square Enix only mentioned that the game would be released on consoles.
Dragon Quest 3: The Seeds of Salvation was released back in 1988 for the original NES. An improved version was released for the SNES in 1996, and then for the GBA in 2001. The game was later ported to Nintendo Wii and mobile devices.
The new version of the game will be an HD-2D remake of the original – the visual style will be similar to Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy.
