HOW ARE ASSASSIN’S CREED AND PRINCE OF PERSIA RELATED?
Prince of Persia Assassin , this is the initial name of the project, was thought of as a new beginning for the brand after the successes obtained with the reboot trilogy seen on 128-bit platforms (in this regard, which is the best Prince of Persia among the Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones? ), with an open world approach never experienced in the series up to that point, in order to give it a breath of fresh air by experimenting with new ideas.
As development progressed, however, the project was moving further and further away from the typical essence of a Prince of Persia, which is why Ubisoft opted for a radical change: eliminating any connection with the series to give life to an IP completely brand new. And this is how the first Assassin’s Creed became reality in 2007 , marking the beginning of a franchise that in the years to come would write gaming history, becoming one of the most popular of all time.
