Rumor: New details for Call of Duty 2026 and 2027

Judging by the statement of the insider, the first details of the Call of Duty games planned for 2026 and 2027 have leaked to the network.

While this year’s Call of Duty and next year’s Call of Duty have yet to be announced, we already have some information about games slated for the more distant future. According to insider Tom Henderson, the 2025 Call of Duty will be a semi-futuristic sequel to Black Ops 2. And according to a recent post by another well-known tipster VISCERAL on Twitter, the 2026 Call of Duty game is being developed by Infinity Ward under the code name Project Devilwood and will be a new part subseries Ghosts. Additionally, he claims that the 2027 Call of Duty, codenamed Project Anvil, will be a sequel to Sledgehammer Games’ Advanced Warfare.

Rumor: New details for Call of Duty 2026 and 2027

There is no confirmation yet, so this information should be taken with a grain of salt. Let’s remember that starting in 2015, the Call of Duty series switched to a three-year development cycle, where the studios Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games alternately replace each other.

Last month, the same insider published details of Ubisoft’s upcoming Splinter Cell remake. According to him, the game will implement ray tracing for sound, and enemies will be able to detect the player by traced reflections.

More specific information about Call of Duty 2024 will likely emerge in the coming months. Late last year, there were rumors that the story could take place during the Gulf War.
